How it all started
Say hello to Janet Beasley, the inspiration behind Lady Violet. Born in Xenia, Ohio and raised in Beavercreek, Ohio Janet became a child of the arts. She began dancing at the age of 4. She soon branched out into band, high school choir, show choir, and church choir. She also performed the soprano lead in the musical, "Once Upon a Mattress," and as a dance chorus girl in "Guys and Dolls." She and her husband, Don, are high-school sweethearts who married in 1981. This epic duo built their careers together as performers, technical theater professionals, producers, stage play writers, and directors. For their grand finale they founded and built a successful audio visual design/install company for churches and theaters. They have since gone on to become award-winning artists known as BeaslePunk, and Janet as a #1 best-selling author. Janet co-developed and served as an instructor for a Young Writer's Workshop, and through that venture she also wrote and published numerous lessons for a comprehensive writing curriculum. After retiring their audio-visual company they became members of FUMC Tavares, Florida where they now share their multiple talents in the children's after-school program - JAM, VBS, chancel choir, stewardship, worship arts, and media ministries. It was through the after-school program, serving as the music leader for the #KidsMinistry, Janet imagined, invented, and created Lady Violet Adventures.
